Þingið ehf. was founded in 2005 as a self-funded think tank for global environmental and humanitarian progress. A privately-owned company, it has developed a highly-innovative electronic stock-trading algorithm for this purpose; however, a deficit of qualified personnel and a dearth of capital has caused me, as the managing director and sole employee, to re-direct its energies.
To wit, Þingið, though its trading on the Nordic Stock Exchanges was profitable, lost the race against time. The algorithm, and the concept of the think-tank, have been mothballed for now; but the former continues to be the most valuable piece of intellectual property I have created to date, and the latter continues to be the philosophical lodestone of my career.
Today, Þingið is focused on providing a problem-solving service to small and large firms which are in the midst of growth or change. This service is available to businesses in diverse industries -- I have solved advanced problems in physics/medicine, practical artificial intelligence, high-tech advertising, quantitative finance, and pure mathematics; and I welcome the opportunity to apply my expertise to other areas.
